Heligan Gardens

The Lost Gardens of Heligan, near Mevagissey are typical of the nineteenth century, having what's described as a Gardenesque style, with areas of different character and in different design styles.
The gardens were created by members of the Cornish Tremayne family, over a period from the mid-18th century up to the beginning of the 20th century.  They were neglected after the First World War, but restored in the 1990's.

They are varied and beautiful, just be careful who you wake in the woods.............!

(P.S. I took these a while ago on an older camera, but the quality looks suprisingly ok in comparison to my new one...*chuckles*)
